I've just realized you haven't seen all of my cards for the character CCG yet. :o
There's still one pair missing. So this time you get to see Toki. I coloured these cards with Chinese ink and Copic markers.
These are all I have for now. In September I'm going to visit my dear friend, and maybe we get to make more cards. So stay tuned to what else I have up my sleeve! ;)

Cards....And Announcement
So I will say it right from the start: next week I am on holidays. Yay. :D
But does that mean I will neglect my blog?
The answer is simple: no, of course not.
I intend to continue my weekly writing exercises; you'll problably get to read the next one on Monday, right before my leaving.
AND, my dear writing buddies Sam and Frankie invited me to guest vlog on their blog 'Kalopsiad' on Wordpress on Wednesday. Isn't that awesome? :D
I'll talk a bit about my works, so I hope you drop by then.
Last but not least, here are some of the remaining cards. Again I used Chinese ink and Copic markers to colour them.

Celebration...and Cards
Today is a day to celebrate. :D
I ordered some copies of my books, and today they were in the mail. I'm so excited and they look fabulous. Awesome! I'm totally over the moon.
Also this blog has crossed the 1k hits margin. So thanks, guys! :D
This makes me think of the future of this blog; and I wonder, what do you think of the things I do? Do you enjoy my writing exercises and my art?
Do you have suggestions how to improve?
Do you want me to cover different topics?
Please, leave a comment and tell me. :)
Last but now least, I have some more coloured cards to show you. Here they are:

The World Is Not Just Black and White
Last time I showed you the first of the coloured cards.
As I continue to colour them they become so very different. Again I used Chinese ink and Copic markers, and I really like the outcome.
They weren't bad when they were still b/w, but they look so much better now. See for yourself how the next two cards turned out! :D

Level Up, Colour Up!
Now you know all the cards my friend and I'd drawn so far.
But it doesn't end there.
Before we can play, the cards need some colouring, right? So I did. :)
I used Copic markers and Chinese ink for these. So have a look at the first two cards. Much better this way, aren't they?

You Haven't Seen the Rest of It Yet
...and that's exactly my point.
There are still some cards left. So I'm going to show you. ;)
First up are Orcneas and Josephine:
And these two gentlemen are Toki and Henry, who you'll get to know if you read my recently published short story collection 'More Untold Stories of Neverbeen Universe'. ;)

Keep Playing
After this... different writing exercise let's get back to the game my friend and I designed cards for.
So let's talk a bit about the rules:
So let's talk a bit about the rules:
- Players start with 50 HP.
- Every turn you draw four hand cards (draw phase).
- Every turn you may place one hero and as many item cards as you want on the field (placement phase).
- You may have three heroes in total on the field.
- Heroes do not attack the turn they are first played.
- Abilities and item effects are effective before attack phase.
- During attack phase you may choose which opponent's card (target) to attack.
- When a hero reaches 0 HP they (and their respective item card) are removed from the game and may not be used again as hand cards.
- Your turn ends with discarding all of your remaining hand cards.
- The game ends when a player's HP reach 0.

Character Cards
Last time I showed you some of the cards my dear friend and I made. Now you get to see more of them. Again they are characters from my book 'The Untold Stories of Neverbeen Universe', namely Thanatos and Jake. Of course the cards still need colouring, but I don't want to withhold them from you much longer.
So here they are:

Where Creativity Leads
As I was saying, my dear friend was staying with me for a week. And it was such a creativity boost for the both of us!
First we wrote a 89 pages long 'choose your own adventure' book about two of our favourite characters (or more precisely: I wrote, she drew fitting illustrations). It is full of insiders and it's in German, so it very likely won't be published. But it was so much fun! :D
Thursday we played Thunderstone, a very nice tabletop/ card game, which inspired us to make our own card collecting game. And we did. Each of us turned five of our characters into a card with HP/AP, an ability and an accompanying item card each. So we have twenty cards in total for now, and the game is already playable. The cards still lack coloration, but given the time we had to accomplish the task it's a quite impressive feat, I think. :D
Anyhow, of course I'm going to show you those card prototypes. First up are Raphael and Gene, who you might already know from my book 'The Untold Stories of Neverbeen Universe'.
