It's on a pretty short notice, but I have something to tell you. :D

Tomorrow I'm going to have an author's slot at my dear writing buddy Frankie's release party for her novel "Emergence".
In this author's slot I get to celebrate with my friend, talk about my works and do a reading of a short story from my yet unreleased third volume of my "Untold Stories of Neverbeen Universe" short story collections.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. CET and my author's slot starts at 8:15 p.m. CET.

Long Time no See...

Just a little update on what I've been doing lately... :)

Writing Exercise 029

As I'm on holiday this week my weekly writing exercise has to be published today, before my departure.
To me, this week's topic has great timing because last week my djembe (African drum) group performed at a summer party. I was super nervous but everything went well and we had a lot of fun. So this is what came to mind when tasked to write a drabble about music:

2016/06/27 – Drabble: Music

Knees touching, we sit and wait. My heart beats like a drum as I glimpse at the others of our ensemble. It is time.

Together we chant like a choir so the people may gather: “Odja hee, odja – hee odja...“ I suck in a breath as our leader gives the signal. My hands fly over the African drum, hitting the drumhead in a quick staccato: open, open, bass – bass, bass. The beat is fast, the rhythm invites to dance. The crowd cheers as I play a solo. In the end we throw our hands in the air, laughing: “Fanga!” – Welcome.

Oh, and don't forget: on Wednesday I guest vlog on Frankie's and Sam's blog 'Kalopsiad'.

Cards....And Announcement

So I will say it right from the start: next week I am on holidays. Yay. :D

But does that mean I will neglect my blog?
The answer is simple: no, of course not.

I intend to continue my weekly writing exercises; you'll problably get to read the next one on Monday, right before my leaving.
AND, my dear writing buddies Sam and Frankie invited me to guest vlog on their blog 'Kalopsiad' on Wordpress on Wednesday. Isn't that awesome?  :D
I'll talk a bit about my works, so I hope you drop by then.

News from Neverbeen Universe

Today I want to introduce the one WIP which is closest to publishing (I do have to rewrite though). Like my short story collection this work is settled in Neverbeen Universe, and the appearing characters are the most dear to me because they have been with me for a very long time.

Contemporary Coincidents

Before I began doing weekly writing exercises there was a story that turned from an exercise into a WIP. Which means it might become a whole novel one day. Therefore, unlike the other exercises, this story isn't finished yet.
And it is quite special to me aside from being out of my comfort zone.
